200 pairs of shoes found in the secret crematorium

In a secret crematorium on a ranch in the Mexican state of Jalalco, two hundred pairs of shoes were found in a disturbing demonstration of the crisis of the country of the forced disappearance in connection with organized crimes.

Jalalco’s search for warrior, a collective of relatives of the disappearance, found the crematorium after an anonymous hint, and the authorities have since confirmed the presence of burnt remains and empty ball houses.

The collective suspects that the bones belong to people who have disappeared.

“You have to carry out a comprehensive inspection. We ask you to bring the dogs with you … who are certified to find human remains and bones, ”índira Navarro, a representative of the collective, told AFP.

The crematorium was found on a ranch that was secured a few months ago by the authorities, in an operation that led to the arrest of 10 armed people, the kidnapping of two exemptions and the discovery of a body.

The ranch, which included a rudimentary type of obstacle course, is to be used as a recruitment and training center for new members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.

The Jalalco cartel, which recently explained a foreign terrorist organization from the Trump administration, is one of the most powerful organized crime groups of Mexico and trade in drugs and people across the country and internationally.

The authorities said they could not fully explore the extensive ranch when they found them for the first time and that the stoves and bones found this week “were hidden under a layer of the earth and a brick plate, which prevented their discovery during the first inspection”.

When members of the collective arrived on the ranch this week, they found a dandruff with clothing, handbags, backpacks, suitcases and shoes that were scattered over the floor. They found the first of three underground ovens within a few hours.

The authorities still have to determine how many people the remains can be found on the ranch.

According to the National Search Commission, Jalalco has almost 15,000 missing people, which makes it the state with the most disappeared people in Mexico.

Over 100,000 people are registered as disappeared throughout Mexico. However, this number could be an underpayment because many fear that the authorities report cases.
